Best Chocoloate Chip Cookies Recipe

post-cookies
Over the Christmas holiday, my dad and I baked a whole bunch of cookies: sugar cookies, peanut butter, oatmeal, but the best one we made was the chocolate chip cookie. We got most of our recipes from The Fannie Farmer Cookbook and I wanted to share with you this recipe. It is the best chocolate chip cookie you will ever taste!

Ingredients
  1. 14 pound of butter
  2. 12 cup of dark-brown sugar (we used light brown sugar for a few batches and it tasted yummy as well!)
  3. ½ cup of granulated sugar
  4. 1 egg
  5. 34 teaspoon vanilla
  6. 1 18 cups of flour
  7. 12 teaspoon salt
  8. 12 teaspoon baking soda
  9. 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F and grease some cookie sheets.
  2. Cream the butter, then gradually add the two sugars, beating until light and smooth.
  3. Beat in the egg and the vanilla.
  4. Mix the flour, salt, and baking soda together and add it to the first mixture, blending well.
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  6. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto the cookie sheets about 1 inch apart and bake for 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned.
Notes
  1. Eat and enjoy! Don't be alarmed if they look a little flat. As you can see in the picture, that's how they are supposed to look but trust me, they taste amazing!
